If I should lose my way in the darkness,
would you come and take my hand?
And if my world should fall apart,
    would you help me understand?

And if I should want to linger
    close to your heart,
    tell me would you let me in;
would you open up your heart?

    Would you say you love me too;
If only in whispers, I don't care
But my heart can't go on wishin’,
    I need you here…

    So, say you love me...
    say you love me too.

I've been down this road before
    one too many times.
And my heart can sense the danger
    of drowning in your eyes.

But if I found the courage
to let my heart come shining through
    could you feel me trembling,
and would you say you love me, too

Would you say you love me, too?
If only in whispers, I don't care.
‘cause my love for you is stronger
    than the fear…

    So say you love me...
Won't you say you love me...
    Say you love me, too.

My..this is a beautiful write. The emotion strongly felt in this stanza. The opening stanza is some powerful emotion also. We all ask these questions I think. Love is one emotion that can make us the happiest and hurt us the most at the same time.
I love poetry that we can feel deeply, words seem to come alive and touch our hearts....this is one of those.

    Dear Zaac,

This was quite lovely and very heartfelt. Yes we have....been down this road before, and only if he / she says they love me and be it deemed true. Well written, strong emotion layered throughout, and quite beautiful Zaac. Thank you for sharing this!! LOVED IT!! Keep'm comin! LOL

    Dear Isaac :giftrose:

I want to bring this back also for everyone to enjoy, as it is so beautiful. Above all, this poem I read on 11-21-06, meant something different than it does to me today. I hope for you to, that we can sing the same song. Love You...

    Gave this an excellent rating....

    only if the song comes
    from heaven's central square
    as long as my fingers
    roam through your hair...
    and as long as you
    are with me as if
my heart was pumping your blood.

    then sing

Nice toons ZAAC - Do you sing? Very lovely and humble lyrics you've composed. But I do tend to wonder if one sang it to you if you would nod in the affirmative. Are you a flirt?

    Thanx for the sharing.

    Jacquii.

so...zaac, did u ever record this one? Very knee-deep in soul-wrenching lyrics right now...I think I'm homesick! This is very, very gripping.

I love it...will add my own melody too...
