So many things I wanna say
Too many stories to be told
    But it doesn’t matter anyway
    Cause it just leaves me
    Feelin old

I wonder how to tell the story
That no one wants to hear
Unless it has a happy ending
    Love comes disguised as fear

    Soft words unspoken
    Drifting on the wind
    Just a sentimental token
    Of things I’ve lost
    And where I’ve been

    Just soft words unspoken
    Cause they don’t wanna listen
So I just sit and count the echoes
    Of soft words unspoken

    Just wanted someone to listen
To the longings of my heart
But the words fell short of wisdom
And they’d never come out right

I never meant to cause the scars
    By words spoken in confusion
I was only trying to find my way
To the end of the illusion

    So these soft words unspoken
    Keep drifting on the wind
    Just a sentimental token
    Of things I’ve lost
    And where I’ve been

    Just soft words unspoken
    But they don’t wanna listen
And I’m tired of the echoes
    Of soft words unspoken

Yes, I’m tired of the echoes…
    of soft words unspoken

    Dear Zaac,

:wow: I feel like this one is directed at me or as if I wrote it about me. I can relate to so much in this poem! This is genius! I fell into this poem, and swam in it, all in it. This blows me away, and kinda scary to read something that sparks that feeling of "this is my life". Brilliant write Isaac, simply awesome!!! Gave this an excellent rating!!!:bravothanx:

Beautiful write emotions to the full like a pen writing out the life this is the soul it is ink stopped to the skin of the earth. Breaking the soul words is the part of you to bring forth the seed.

mysty i think you should take what you wrote in your reply to me and put it in four stanzas and look at it again...and then finish the piece. I don't think you realize how much you just said...and quite nicely I might add.

zaac this is SO beautiful! I read it before but then it got lost in the shuffle and I never commented. It moves the reader in many ways because we can empathize with each and every line...most of us...and feel the heartache and regret for those echoes, and hope for things so often left unsaid that would cure it all

....brilliantly...softly...fearfully...creeping...silently... into the heart's core...leaving time stamps of painful memories...

    thanks for this write!!

This has to be my favorite stanza from the entire piece. I just absolutely love it.
It suits the mood I am feeling right now.

Thank you for such lovely work.

Great poem, zaac, lots of heartfelt emotion. And something tells me this will be an even greater song someday.
