    We've read about undying love,
    As Shakespeare's writings tell,
And Brownings wrote about a love
    That time could not dispel.

There'll be no one to phrase for us,
    Immortal lines of prose,
And music to this love of ours,
    No one will ere' compose.

No sonnets shall we pen ourselves,
    For future hearts to share.
    No one will ever understand,
The depth to which we care.

Our letters that we’ve saved for years
    Shall someday die in flame,
    Accomplished their intentions, they
    Will never know of fame.

Our flesh shall free our spirits and
    Will crumble into dust.
Our souls will live forever, with
    Eternal love and trust.

    Dear Ron,

The title is most fitting for this romantic scribe. How beautiful you have made an undying love. I have never experienced this, however, the poem swept me into such aesthetic visuals. To endure such a love is one of the many splendors of life. For some reason I thought of the movie the "Titanic" while reading this. One small detail was the use of they'll (contraction of they will), and the poem reads as if it should be there will. Thank you for sharing a bit of love with us. Wonderful.

    PaintedDiary,
I will change the contraction on my original. Thank you. Don't know how that got by me. Regarding Undying Love..... we have all experienced it...... perhaps not in the real sense but in the recesses of our mind and heart and it lives forever in the soul........ and many, have this love painted in their secret diary. Every heart should know Undying Love, once in a lifetime. Even if it is for someone in the past.
    Ron
