Erm, my first poem here. I'm not fully sure how to go about this, so if I'm posting in the wrong section, or formatting incorrectly, please let me know. =) Thank you!

    Where Are the Stars Tonight?

    Where are the stars tonight?

    I have seen them twinkle-
    in otherworldly charm,
through the brightest and darkest of times.

    Tonight, the stars are gone-
obscured by clouds of evil and hate,
that roll and crackle with the thunder of rage.

    And only the moon shines.

From tonight, the stars shall shine nevermore-
and their charm shall vanish from the skies,
as the clouds and thunder sweep them away.

They shall fall in showers of fading glory,
    so full of melancholy beauty,
never again shall they brighten a dusky night.

And only the moon shall shine.

    Why? Why have they gone?
    I grasp at fading hopes,
    wilting like summer blooms.

The stars shall never shine again.
This I know. This I dread.
But who can change the will of Fate, of Destiny?

    Where are the stars tonight?

    :wow:

(btw, I believe you're posting in the right place :D, or you could post in the Miscellaneous section)

    Anyway...wow. I loved it.
Very sad, much like what I write nowadays, but amazing nonetheless.

The one liners are used so well-
    thanks for the poem!

    hope to see more!

    Sophia,

Once we understand why the stars won't shine we know the pain that clouds our vision. Touching! My Fav:

hey. i really loved it. although it's really sad, it's very well written. i'm slightly impartial to the strange rhythm but that's just me.

i really like that u wrote "i grasp at fading hopes".. really cool diction
