    Whisperings on the wind
    rustlings in the leaves
    telling me secrets
    no one has yet dreamed
    softly caressing skin
    soothing healing they bring
    embracing soul’s quest
    at love’s behest
    wonder delights in quietness
    conducive to creatings
    the marshlands reign as king
    blossoms and sweet honey bees
    carrying on through the breeze
    as if tomorrow’s already here
love floats around on the air.

    Come home to me
    they whisper
    as springtime brings us warmth
    as summer brings us heat
come home to me, my love
    they say
    in autumn’s falling treats
    in winter’s icecled dreamland
as starry skies do wait with me
    come home to me.

This poem is like springtime in Fall, the birds, bees and crunching of leaves. Again your vibrant spirit busy at work, harvesting words and baking them into sweet poetry, to serve your friends.

    Just loved this Nomad.

Hey Jolie...keep missing you lately! lol! Thanks for your lovely comments, however! Yes, this one is reminiscent of Mother Nature's best...I had in mind laying out on a warm Autumn day on a pile of crunchy leaves and looking up into the limbs of a huge tree and just listening...

your writing has a maturity and grace more and more since I have been reading you. It's as if you settled into yourself and found the place in you that is always quiet, observing. and pondering. I really like your free style stuff.

AH! MS NOMAD I just finished watching the movie Stardust AND this is the perfect poem for the ending to the movie - right on time as one may say :) --- There's a strong hint of romanticism in your lyric but also a really blossoming song of FREEDOM!

I like it - Very nice write and thanx for the sharing ;)

    Dear Ms Nomad,

Ahhhhhh beautiful.....with an anthem to Nature, and the place within yourself and us that we may label as as our garden...loved this Ms Nomad. Truly great and the type of poem that one will always come back to. I am going to take this to work with me to read when I need an escape to beauty. I love that title also!!! Fantabulous!

Ms. J said - this is the perfect poem for the ending to the movie - right on time as one may say

It was just the compliment that was the "right" thing. I'm reading my work again in hopes of getting inspired to write! lol! So...thanks! Such a nice compliment is always perfect and "right" what's needed.

I felt this like a cool breeze. It was a calming piece and it's the exact thing a brother would love to hear after a long day of work and getting cooked chocolate in the sun factory. "Come Home to Me," Whew that's nice and fulfilling thought indeed! I feel revived in your words!

    nomad,

i just re-read this and i have to say i have never gotten such a sense of peaceful longing, and it had deep spiritual undertones...so much warmth, even in the loneliness of it...i think it has and aura of hope and grace about it. You should write more of this styld...it's quite good.

I love this so much! There's so much vivid imagery, and I really like the incredible descriptions.

    Beautiful.

Oh, wow, this is beautiful! I believe that you started off this poem with the first line/stanza of the poem and I was immediately interested in it and wanted to read more. You have very strong and beautiful imagery throughout the poem which just makes it a delightful read... also, each image just flows into the next adding to the smoothness of reading your poem and I really enjoyed how you ended it too.

This is a very calming, relaxing, and this is just great:

    in autumn’s falling treats
    in winter’s icecled dreamland
as starry skies do wait with me
    come home to me.

I especially like the last three lines for the imagery and how you end with the last line being "come home to me." Thank you for sharing and keep on writing!
