    If only I could escape
    winter's gloom,
    fade beneath the surface
    unnoticed, a perennial
    reborn in Spring —
    warmly welcomed back,
    tended to with eager hands
    admired again,
    or maybe not return at all
    like a bulb too shallow
    winter-killed.

    Winter Blues indeed LOL - Makes me feel glad it's summertime in the country.

    I actually started reading this poem and I thought to myself - this concept of open acceptance/welcoming doesn't seem so "blue" at all. Then I read the last 3 lines = makes for an interesting pivot in thought.

    Nicely done = Thanks for the share.

    Yessss, thank god summer is upon us. I hate winter so bad that I at times I wish I could crawl underground and hybernate!
