The
RICTAMETER is a nine-line syllabic structure. The lines start at two syllables incrementing upward by two. The 5th line will have 10 syllables and proceeds to the 9th line reversing the syllable count to the last line, which has 2 syllables. The first and ninth lines are the same word(s).
There is no set rhyme scheme for the rictameter poem.
