Hey GEORGE - this is a nice post - Congrats to all the Young Winners! So beautiful - and equally beautiful to see them embracing the artform poetry at such a young age!

All of the poems though aren't considered haiku - especially the ones with more than 3 lines - Haiku are nature writes and most always consist of only 3 lines. Senryu are made up of three lines as well - but generally have a more social quality than nature aspect. The Tanka poem (like Kristen's write - which is my personal favorite out of the lot) consists of 5 lines. Click the links for more in-depth definitive

But yeah - I love the Superstar piece - It's so nice and has a jazz type flavor - Impressive write for a 4th Grader - Making us proud with their poetry!

Anyway - thanx for posting GEORGE and also - feel free to introduce yourself to the Community over at the Member Introductions section. You also have a few of your own threads that have received commentary - It'd be nice for you to at least acknowledge those who've left comments as per the JPiC Posting Policy --- Simply click here for a list of your posted threads.
