Yeah, I agree with MsJacquii 100%. Of course, do what you feel is right but it doesn't hurt to send something out, right? I just started last year sending in Poetry and I never got a response but I sent 3 poems to the Writer's Digest 76th Annual Writing Contest, and 1 I didn't think was too great and 2 others I felt pretty positive about and I got a huge surprise...

My 1 poem I sent in just cause' and that I felt the least bit confedient about actually got an Honourable Mention! Which totally blew me away and there were so many contestants and I had that same feeling of, "Well, I'm definitely not the best poet and my stuff isn't amazing but here goes nothing..." I entered this year as well and I'm keeping my expectations low but it was definitely something I'd never imagine and I thought that since I hadn't heard from them for awhile that I didn't place or anything.

Anywho, don't sell yourself short but do what you feel is right too. I'm totally rooting for you though if you do send it off!

Ok, if I do this I need some info on writing a cover letter for submission. I want to do it right if I'm going to do this. Is there info here on writing a cover letter?
