Sublime: An Anthology of Nature Poems
Only submit poems inspired by or written about the natural world or an experience related to nature. There are no reading fees. All rights revert to the author upon publication. Unsolicited submissions will usually be responded to in up to two months (but this timeframe can vary based on the volume of submissions). This anthology will not only celebrate nature, it will also help actively preserve the environment through donations; Beauty/Truth Press profits from this book will be donated to Greenpeace and the Worldwatch Institute.
Poetry Submission Guidelines
1. Submissions must be related to nature in some way.
2. Submit up to five poems at a time. All pages of poetry submitted should include the author's name and address somewhere on the page. We do not return poetry submissions, so please do not send originals.
3. A cover letter is required with all submissions. Cover letters should be no more than one page in length and should include contact information, a brief biography, and a list of previous publications.
4. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope with all correspondences (or for international submissions please include a self-addressed envelope and an International Reply Coupon [IRC]).
5. We do accept previously published works (as long as you have retained the rights to the poetry). But we do need to know where the work has appeared and when. Make sure that you provide the full bibliographic credit in your cover letter or on the poetry page itself.
6. Do not send simultaneous submissions.
7. This is a fundraiser book which aims to raise money for Greenpeace, an organization that uses peaceful direct action to solve global environmental problems, and the Worldwatch institute, a leader in environmentalist studies. Authors will not receive any payment for their poety; we hope that authors will embrace these causes by purchasing copies of the book and supporting the Greenpeace and Worldwatch missions.
8. For those who wish to submit via e-mail, please remember that the cover letter and the poems should all appear in the body of the e-mail; we will not open any e-mail attachments. You can expect a brief e-mail from us a few days after we receive your submission. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail after a week, then your submission was probably snagged by our spam detectors. Please try to resubmit, and if you have repeated problems you may want to consider submitting via postal mail.
9. Submissions sent via e-mail should be sent to the following address:
submissions@beautytruthpoetry.com
with a subject line reading "Sublime Submission: Your Name."
10. Submissions sent via postal mail should be mailed to the following address:
